Fireworks and Bonfire Night – Help Needed
The annual fireworks and bonfire night is on Saturday 5 November.
•Tickets at the gate – £8 adults and £4 children.
•Gates open at 5:30pm, the bonfire is lit at 5:45 and fireworks start at 6:30 pm.
•There will be food and refreshments, both hot and cold.
•Glow sticks available.
Helpers needed on the gate, fire marshals and selling refreshments.
The Annual Celebration of Scouting
Friday 4th December
6.30pm to 7.00pm at St Peter’s Church, Petersham
(All Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders in full uniform)
Afterwards 7.30pm at the hut for the Auction of Promises and Mini Christmas Fair
Would each family please bring some nibbles to share
Liquid refreshments provided

Thank you to all parents who signed up to help. Unfortunately the event has been cancelled this year.
On Saturday 27th September 2014, 18 Leaders and Parent Helpers jumped in our boats – Phoenix II, Dorney and George Vancouver – to row in the Great River Race 2014 to raise funds for the building of the New Phoenix Building – a new Scout Hut. This is a rowing event from Docklands to Ham, covering just over 21 miles!
The parade was attended by Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Everyone arrived promptly at Richmond College Sports Ground for the start and it was good to see all three sections represented (and no leader had to be a flag bearer!). After watching the 30 minute service and seeing a Scout be presented with their Queen’s Scout Award we march from the Richmond College to St Catherine’s School. …
