Skills for Life

Our young people and adult volunteers gain informal and formal qualifications and skills for life, things like: map reading, kayaking, pulling (rowing), cooking, teamwork, leadership, first aid, problem-solving, camping, expedition planning, art, presenting and of course knot-tying!

Welcome to Petersham & Ham Sea Scout Group

Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts is one of the largest Scout Groups in the UK and one of the longest continually operational groups in the UK.

Our volunteers run scouting activities on land and water each week for over 330 children from our local community and help them to learn valuable skills for life.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
