We are much more than an ‘after-school club’

We operate 2 Squirrels Dreys* (for 4-6 years olds), 4 Beaver Colonies (for 6-8 years olds), 4 Cub Packs (for 8 to 10 1/2 year olds), and 4 Scout Troops (for 10 1/2 to 14 year olds), with each section run by its own team of volunteers, and we prioritise existing members moving up to the next section over taking new Members in from our waitlist.  To maximise your chance of being offered a place, we would advise you to select as many days as you can.

Erik Armstrong Explorers also use our site and operate 3 sections for Explorer Scouts (for 14-17 years olds) and can be reached at explorers@erikarmstrong.org.uk and we now have an active Young Instructors section for 18-24 year olds to develop their leadership skills with us.

*1 operating in Autumn Term 2025 with a second Drey scheduled to open in January 2026

Note that we explicitly prioritise children whose parents take a significant volunteering role. Other than that we operate a first-come first-served basis and this is variable but may be many years despite the large number of sections that we operate.
