Group Leaders’ Newsletter – October 2023

Dear Leaders & Instructors,

I hope you are enjoying being back with our young people after the summer break. I have really enjoyed the past three weekends: taking part in the Great River Race with fellow leaders and boat club members on 16 September; joining our Scouts on their South Coast Adventure Weekend to Swanage & Brownsea Island 22-24 September; and joining the Explorers on their Skerry Expedition to Chertsey and back last weekend. I have also enjoyed hearing about the great activities taking place in regular section meetings.

Next weekend is our second Big Help Out of the year followed by our AGM on Sunday 8th October. Please do advertise to your parents and we hope to see you there.

Finally, a big well done to our Explorers who came third in the County Day Flare incident hike competition on Saturday 23 September.
